The list

Todd R. Jones keeps this list on GitHub and shares it under CC0 1.0. Others have added entries; the repository's history names them. In its own words:

This is a compilation of free datasets that I hope can be useful to students, professors, and others for research, data visualization, etc. I am an applied microeconomist, and this is reflected in what is included below. Most of the datasets are publicly available, but some aren't and require data agreements. If you have any changes, additions, or comments, please contribute!

How e2er lists it

e2er read the list at version b8ef25a and lists each entry as a dataset in Open datasets, with the list's words quoted. e2er added a field for each of the list's sections, an access level read from the list's words, the years, and a link to a connector where e2er loads the same data. Every address was checked on 14 October 2026; an entry whose address does not answer is left out (0 at this reading).
