About this dataset
Daily weather-station records worldwide (NOAA GHCN-Daily, via Climate Data Online): maximum and minimum temperature, precipitation, snowfall, snow depth per station and day, from the 1800s for some stations. Good for station-level climate trends and extremes, and weather controls tied to a place. Needs a free NOAA token (NOAA_TOKEN).
Use it in a run
The NOAA Climate Data Online connector loads it when a study's question needs it. Each load is recorded with what was read, when, the terms and the citation, and the study's page lists it under "Data used".
e2er run "<your research question>"Terms of use
Free with a free token; NOAA states no licence and asks for the GHCN-Daily citation with the subset used and the access date, and the overview article.
