The data stay with the source

The terms of the GMD do not allow passing the data on outside the study's replication package. A published study does not pass these data on: publishing asks the researcher to confirm the terms, and the study's code loads the data again from the source (get_data.py). A reader who asks the authors for the data is sent to the source.

Terms of use for the data

Free for academic use: research meant for publication, teaching and theses at universities and academic research institutes. Everyone else needs written permission. A study's replication package may include the GMD data it used, labelled as GMD data. The data may not be republished anywhere else.

How to cite

Versions

Each load uses one release, the newest unless the study names one. The release, the address of the file read and its SHA-256 go into the study's data dictionary and its dossier, and the citation goes into its references.
